DO ONE • COACH ONE • MENTOR ONE™
Learn safely. Practice deliberately. Build confidence one skill at a time.
Purpose
A practical beginning pathway that helps a new angler build safety, equipment knowledge, river awareness, basic rigging, casting, knot, and introductory fly-tying skills in a logical order.
The Apprentice Angler Program
Designed for a new or early-stage fly fisher. It uses the Riverbound Waters™ Apprentice Angler Guide set as the visual learning core. The syllabus is intentionally progressive: understand the water and safety first, then learn the equipment, connect the system, practice foundational skills, and finish by tying and understanding a simple fly. Select one of the core sections below to learn more. If you would like to download a free personal copy of the Apprentice Angler guide press the green button at the bottom. Once on the new page scroll down and fill out the form (Name and Email) then select Apprentice Angler. A link will be emailed for the downloadable file.
